Volunteers

At Home Start we consider volunteers our most valued asset. Their kindness is appreciated beyond the expression of words.Their selfless commitment to making a difference in the lives of placer county's homeless children is inspiring.

Volunteers are an integral part of what we are able to do at Home Start. They are MENTORS to the children; they TUTOR in the Joyce Gottdiner Learning Center; They TEACH LIFE SKILLS classes to the adults; They FACILITATE SELF ESTEEM and SELF HELP GROUPS; They assist with MAINTENANCE such as cleaning and painting.

Volunteers are responsible for serving meals, catering holiday functions, and providing many bright and special memories for the families.

If you are interested in serving as a volunteer for Home Start, please call us at 916-782-6667 or E-mail RhondaHomeStart@surewest.net.
