Volunteers
At Home Start we consider volunteers our most
valued asset. Their kindness is appreciated
beyond words. Their selfless
commitment to making a difference in the lives
of Placer County's homeless children and families is
inspiring.
Volunteers are an integral part of what we are
able to accomplish at Home Start. They mentor
the children; tutor in the Joyce Gottdiner
Learning Center; teach Life Skills classes
to the adults; facilitate self- esteem and
self help groups; assist with maintenance
such as cleaning and painting;
serve meals;
help cater holiday functions; and provide many
bright and special memories for the families throughout the year.
If you are interested in serving as a volunteer
for Home Start, please
read our current volunteer flier, and call us at 916-782-6667 or E-mail Kayla at kdreher@RosevilleHomeStart.org.
