The work of an enterprise such as Home Start entails a great deal of individual attention to residents as well as extensive dealings with public agencies and others.

In addition to the Executive Director there are 5 full-time employees, and a corps of dedicated volunteers.

Executive Director Ann Engelbrecht graduated from Taylor University in Indiana.  After serving as an intern in the United States Senate, she held several positions with major corporations. Prior to joining Home Start, she served as Vice President of the Sacramento Valley Rental Housing Association.  She is married and has two children.

Roseville Home Start, Inc. is governed by a 8 member Board of Directors who are drawn from business, the local neighborhood, the clergy, other agencies, and the ranks of the homeless.  The Board meets monthly.

As a member of the Placer County Continuum of Care and the Placer Consortium on Homelessness, Home Start maintains an ongoing liaison with other agencies, public and private, who are engaged in assisting those in need.
