History

Home Start is a non-profit, 501 (C) (3) transitional housing corporation serving Placer County since 1995. In the early years, the effort was hampered by the onerous rent paid for a motel at 410 Riverside Drive, Roseville, CA. Generous donors bought the property in December of 2001. Renovations of all residential space were completed in 2006 and the remodeled administrative building in the Fall of 2007.

Home Start's oversight is provided by a Board of Directors composed of educators, clergy, and individuals from the corporate community. Candi Saari, CPA is contracted as the Financial Officer and an independent annual audit is conducted by GALLINA LLP Certified Public Accountants.
